AZAANEX MOVE

Local Moving

A local move is four to eight hours where everything you own is in someone else’s hands. The industry’s bad actors are famous — hostage loads, phantom fees, no-shows on the first of the month. Our whole pitch is being the boring opposite of that.

How a move should work

It starts with an honest inventory — rooms, large items, stairs, elevators, parking at both ends — because the accurate quote and the lowball quote diverge exactly there. You get a written price with the crew size and truck stated, what’s included spelled out, and the extras that could apply (piano, appliance disconnection, long carries) named in advance rather than invented on your driveway.

On the day: a vetted, insured crew that pads and wraps furniture, protects floors and door frames, loads like the truck is a Tetris exam, and places boxes in the rooms they’re labelled for. We stay reachable throughout — if anything wobbles, you call us, not a dispatcher who has never heard of you.

Month-end is real — plan around it

Canadian leases turn over on the first of the month, which makes the last weekend of every month the industry’s rush hour. Book two to three weeks ahead for month-end dates, and if your dates are flexible, mid-month moves are calmer and sometimes cheaper. Either way, tell us early — capacity is the one thing we can’t conjure on 48 hours’ notice.

Why choose AZAANEX

Local movers we select and stand behind, with cargo and liability coverage in place.

Us, before, during and after — not a marketplace that goes quiet once you’ve paid a deposit.

How it works

  1. Tell us both addresses and the inventory

Rooms, big items, stairs, elevators, parking — the honest picture that gets the honest price.

  2. Approve the written quote

Crew size, truck, timing and price in writing. Questions welcome; surprises not included.

  3. Moving day

The crew loads, moves and places; we stay on call for anything that needs deciding.

  4. Confirm and close

You check the load, we settle exactly what was quoted, and the file closes clean.

Frequently asked questions

How far ahead should I book?

Two to three weeks for month-end dates, which are the industry’s rush hour. Mid-month moves can often be arranged within days.

Do the movers disassemble beds and furniture?

Standard disassembly and reassembly — bed frames, table legs, mirrors off dressers — is part of the job. Tell us about anything exotic (gym equipment, wall units) so it’s in the quote.

What won’t the crew move?

Propane tanks, open liquids, hazardous materials, and irreplaceables like passports and jewellery — those ride with you. Everything else is fair game, pianos included with notice.

What if something gets damaged?

You report it to us and we handle it — that’s what one accountable contact means. Coverage terms are in your quote so the process is defined before it’s ever needed.
